Two sisters, long divided, are thrust into a nightmare as demonic forces invade their bodies and turn their reunion into a desperate battle for life.

Is this part of the evil dead franchise?

Yes it is but different story line and cast to make it move captivating. I think this is the best among them all if I am not mistaken.
